Sports massage is a focused, hands-on treatment designed to reduce muscular tightness, ease pain, and support how your body moves. It uses techniques such as deep tissue release, trigger point therapy, soft tissue mobilisation, and myofascial work all tailored to your needs and activity levels.
You don’t need to be an athlete to benefit. Whether you sit at a desk, train regularly, or simply feel tight and uncomfortable day to day, sports massage is designed to meet you where you’re at. Treatments are adjusted to your pain tolerance, it should feel effective, not unbearable.
The goals of sports massage include: Reducing muscle tension and soreness, improving flexibility and joint mobility, aiding recovery after activity or injury, and supporting long-term movement and postural health
While a regular massage is often focused on relaxation and general wellbeing, sports massage is more targeted. It’s designed to address specific issues like muscle tightness, injury recovery, joint stiffness, or movement restriction. Techniques used in sports massage are often deeper and more focused on pain relief, mobility, and performance, rather than just stress reduction. Whether you’re an athlete or not, it’s a more functional, results-driven approach to massage.
Sports massages can involve deep tissue work, which might feel uncomfortable at times, especially when working on tight areas. However, I always work within your comfort levels and adjust pressure as needed.to monitor the estimated value and learn about recent sales for similar properties. By understanding your relationship to the property, we can tailor what we show and send you to make it more relevant to your situation.
The frequency of sports massages depends on your activity level and individual needs. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions, while others may need treatments only after intense physical activity.
I often recommend every 2–4 weeks, Although one-off sessions also bring great benefit.
Before your session, it’s helpful to hydrate and wear comfortable clothing. Ensure there’s enough space for the massage bed to be set up. If you have any specific issues or injuries, let me know ahead of time so I can tailor the treatment.
I will need a bit of space to set up my portable massage bed. Ideally, a room with enough room for the bed and for me to move around it comfortably is perfect. A clear area of about 2 meters by 3 meters would be ideal.
